Economic Development
UPACC's economic development mission is to assist its members and affiliates in commerce, trade, and industry, by providing support and opportunities, or oppose legislation that they feel will affect their members. In addition, UPACC works in conjunction with its members and affiliates to provide information on various lines and methods of trading locally and nationally. UPACC will be providing and assisting its member with organizing various trade fairs, exhibitions, seminars, and networking opportunities etc., to enhance their commercial activities.
Through UPACC'S enhancement programs emphasis is placed on financial support, job creation, networking, and understanding, importing and exporting of commodities, and services.
Workforce Development Program
Through UPACC workforce development program, we will offer additional workshops and classes that focus on job readiness preparation such as resume writing, interviewing skills, and job coaching. Also, community members will have access to the updated job listings from our business membership listing through the Chamber website.
The United People's Action Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (UPACC) will offer workforce training programs in many of the high demand industry sectors which includes construction, manufacturing, trade, transportation, warehouse, and utilities, financial services, professional and business services, educational and health, as well as healthcare and social assistance. According to the Illinois Department of Employment Security, the employment projections through 2024 for trade, transportation, and utilities will be 1,229,095 jobs available. As a result, the Chamber will establish partnerships with a few of the local community colleges through the City Colleges of the community its service to offer vocational training to prepare youth and adults for employment opportunities in the various trades. UPACC seek resource to bring back the various trade and technical programs so that community members will have access to viable training that will prepare them for quality jobs in the high demand industry sectors mentioned above.
Financial Services Program
UPACC's financial services program serves as a catalyst to help members and their families build a solid financial house by creating a legacy that will establish long-term wealth. The financial services workshops and classes will focus on areas such as understanding social security benefits, creating your own bank through life insurance, retirement planning, end of life planning,, credit building, and much more.

Senior Services Program
United People's Action Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (UPACC) under the umbrella of Exclusive Senior Solutions, LLC are offering services and programs for seniors in the community and via its streaming and zoom platform. UPACC will provide workshops and classes to educate seniors about the many benefits available through Medicare and Medicaid insurance plans, such as free transportation services, food assistance through local food banks and the meals on wheels program, senior discount programs, and income generating opportunities. Many seniors are living on a fixed income and struggle to make ends meet, especially during this time of inflation that is experienced across our nation. UPACC and Exclusive Senior Solutions wants to serve as a resource and beacon of hope for seniors so they can take advantage of all benefits they are entitled to receive.
